Summer in Minnesota goes by so quickly! Since we only get a few months of warm weather out of the year, we pack those months with patio dinners, weekend trips, and all of the outdoor festivals we can. The past month consisted of jaunts to Toronto, Atlantic (Iowa), and Duluth (Minnesota). And as always, lots of florals and coffee. So sue me!
These eerily-drawn-out lyrics speak of restlessness and indecision, of wanting someone to stay, yet wanting them to go. “All White Everything” has an ethereal feel from the light piano tones to the dainty, yet soulful vocals. The video, as you may have pictured, is washed out with all-white-everything, but is not featured here as it creeps me out. And on that note, happy weekend!
Zeb and I took a long weekend to visit Toronto. We went there mostly to see my friends I met while studying abroad in Hong Kong, and partially to see the MN Twins take on the Toronto Blue Jays. Though for some reason most of these friends are not pictured here, I swear they’re real. We ate way too much, visited some brewpubs, went to the baseball game, and walked several miles around town. Toronto is a beautiful city I could see myself living in, though I’m certain I would gain about 20 pounds if I did. The food is just that good!
This piece is a hybrid between overalls and a romper – meaning, it’s impossible to take off. Regardless, I had fun wearing it to the farmer’s market, brunch, and Grand Old Day. I had even more fun getting into my pajamas and watching a movie afterwards. It’s fun to experiment with style, but it’s always nice to get into something a little more comfortable and loaf around when all is said and done.
