My Paris posts are finally dwindling, as they should since I’ve been back for three weeks already! Anyway…one of the best parts about vacationing is dressing up. Parisian style is a little fancier than a typical day in Minnesota, and visiting churches and museums gives you even more reason to dress up without looking overdone. I started the day out with metallic flats but walking on cobblestone must have taken its toll: the entire sole of one shoe flopped right off! I darted (or scooted very strategically) into the nearest shoe store and quickly decided on the shoes pictured. Before we headed into the Musée L’Orangerie, we stopped in the Tuileries to snap a few photos. The leaves, the ground, the light – everything was so beautiful that day!
My first thought was to pair a silky blouse with this skirt, but I soon realized that I needed something to keep my outfit from flowing all over the place. Despite the pattern of my skirt, there wasn’t a whole lot going on with it, so I added a belt to give it even more structure. Sometimes a little accessory can go a long way.
There’s something about walking through fallen leaves that I’m definitely going to miss as it starts to freeze over…and that starts tomorrow. I hope your week is great! Mine started out with too many cavity fillings (ouch!) but I’m determined to make it a good one.
