The third day in NYC started with a 5k through Central Park. I love running in other cities – it allows me to get a better feel for the geography and also to blend in like a local.
After coralling the girls, we headed back to Central Park and strolled through with lattes in hand. The Upper East Side was next for lunch at Via Quadronno where I indulged in the most decadent panini this side of the Atlantic, before stopping at Ladurée, the best macaron house you will ever encounter (even when you’re in Paris).
We jaunted down to SoHo to shop the blocks, before taking the subway to Brooklyn to catch the sunset over the skyline. The Brooklyn Bridge is a gorgeous piece of architecture from the 1800s, spanning the beautiful East River. When you see it set to the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline with Lady Liberty off in the distance, you can’t help but feel your jaw drop and your heart beat faster. I can’t wait to come back one day and spend dayyys in Brooklyn.
